Facebook down for some people in Myanmar
Facebok Inc. stated that its social media platform is unavailable in parts of Myanmar after a military coup shook the country earlier this week. The company told AFP its services are “currently disrupted for some people.”
“We urge authorities to restore connectivity so that people in Myanmar can communicate with their families and friends and access important information,” Facebook added. Myanmar’s army has taken control of the country and arrested the nation’s leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, and President Win Myint on Monday following claims of fraud in the general election.
