Fauci: No red flags from Pfizer, Moderna’s vaccines
Chief Medical Advisor to the United States President, Dr. Anthony Fauci, stated on Tuesday the country’s health authorities had so far noted “no red flags” concerning Pfizer Inc. and BioNTech SE and Moderna Inc.‘s vaccines against COVID-19 and the creation of blood clots.
Fauci stressed the White House had no prior knowledge of the alleged connections of Johnson and Johnson’s (J&J) jab and blood clots and that the decision to halt and possibly resume its use was “up to the FDA [Food and Drug Administration] and the CDC [Centers for Disease Control and Prevention]” as “we are ruled by the science.”
Fauci added he was certain the issue would be solved quickly as blood clots were a “very rare event.”
