Fauci: Vaccine in December conceivable
National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci told NPR on Friday that it is “conceivable” the United States will have a vaccine for COVID-19 in December this year.
However, one of the most prominent figures of the White House Coronavirus Taskforce added that no promises can be made on the matter. Fauci noted that once a vaccine is available, it doesn’t mean it will be entirely effective.
The doctor went on to say that it a vaccine should only be deployed to the general public once it is deemed entirely safe by scientists.
