FBI, DHS to help Haiti assassination investigation
Washington is sending Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials to Haiti to help investigate the murder of the country’s president President Jovenel Moise (pictured).
“In response to the Haitian request for security and investigative assistance, we will be sending senior FBI and DHS officials to Port-au-Prince as soon as possible to assess the situation and how we may be able to assist,” White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Friday.
Moise was assassinated on Wednesday morning in his home.
