Fed’s Bullard optimistic despite new cases
St. Louis Federal Reserve President James Bullard stated on Wednesday that he maintains a positive outlook despite the recent resurgence of COVID-19 in some parts of the United States.
In an interview with CNBC, Bullard said that most people will be called back to work in the next 90 days while also asserting that it’s possible to reduce the unemployment rate to 7% before the end of 2020.
He made similar remarks at the end of June when he claimed that the pandemic’s effects were overestimated by some.
