Ford recalls around 850,000 cars for different safety issues
Ford Motor Company announced on Friday three different global recalls over safety issues, ranging from faulty bolt joints to welding issues.
Ford recalled 774,696 Ford Explorer manufactured between 2013 and 2017 over the possibility of a seizure of the cross-axis ball joint that may cause a fracture in the rear suspension. Additionally, the car manufacturer stated that it is aware of six incidents in North America potentially linked to this issue.
At the same time, Ford is recalling 40,995 Lincoln Aviator vehicles and 34,939 Ford F-350 Super Duty vehicles both produced in 2020 and 2021 over the respective issues of improper battery cable wire harnessing and issues with the welding of a part of the rear axle. Ford asserted it was unaware of any incidents that can be linked to these two types of problems.
