Foxconn says chip shortage to cut shipments by 10%
IPhone manufacturer Foxconn said on Tuesday it expects to deliver 10% fewer shipments amid the global chip shortage, Asia Nikkei Review reported.
“The [supply in the] first two months of this quarter was still ok, as our clients are all very big, but we started to see changes happening this month,” Chairman Young Liu said in an earnings call according to the report.
Liu was also quoted as saying that the shortage is expected to last until the second quarter of next year at least.
