France adds 22,046 COVID cases, 160 deaths
The number of daily coronavirus infections in France increased by 22,046 over the past 24 hours to reach a total of 3,605,181, the French Public Health Agency said on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the number of COVID-19 deaths in France rose by 160 to a total of 84,306. The test positivity rate stood at 6.3%, while the number of hospitalized patients climbed by 9,362 over the past seven days.
Earlier in the day, Nice Mayor Christian Estrosi said the city needs to impose a strict weekend lockdown and prevent visitors from entering Nice in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
