France: Putin not willing to end war

A French presidency official said on Saturday that during the phone call of French President Emmanuel Macron with his Russian and German counterparts, Russian President Vladimir Putin did not show a willingness to end the war, as unveiled by BFM.

According to the official, French and German leaders repeated their call for an immediate ceasefire in Ukraine as a condition for full-fledged negotiations. Moreover, the French government will adopt new sanctions “in the next few hours” due to the lack of compromise.
