France relaxes COVID travel measures
France will loosen some of the restrictions on international travel, imposed in order to curb the spread of the coronavirus, the country’s Foreign Ministry stated on Thursday.
Ministry’s statement read that the measures will be eased for passengers from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and Britain, in a sense that the travelers to and from those countries won’t be required to provide the authorities with a “compelling” reason to travel.
Earlier this week, country’s Health Minister Olivier Veran forecasted that France could soon be in a more comfortable situation, pandemic-wise, and attributed the positive trend to the vaccination and the increased testing.
