France reports 166 new COVID-19 deaths

French authorities reported on Saturday 166 people died in the past 24 hours from coronavirus, bringing the overall death toll to 24,760.

In the same period, the number of confirmed cases of the infection rose by 453 to 28,827.

Earlier today, the government extend the “state of health emergency” for two months until July 24.
