France to provide aid to small and medium businesses – Le Maire
French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire stated on Thursday that the country needs to wait at least until 2022 in order to reach economic activity similar to 2019.
He added that the French government is looking to provide further aid to small and medium-sized businesses hit by the current lockdown in the form of rental payment relief and tax credits.
“Excess inventories are also a major issue. We must also help with inventories,” Le Maire told BFM Business radio, adding small shopkeepers were among those most hurt by the crisis. He noted that it would be good to save the month of December for French businesses and shopkeepers.
