France wants united response to Iran uranium enrichment
The French presidency stated that they want a coordinated response from P5+1 countries to Iranian’s 60% uranium enrichment announcement, French media outlets reported on Tuesday evening.
According to the reports, France condemned the move calling it “a serious development.” Furthermore, the Frech presidency stated that coordination between the countries that are involved in the nuclear negotiations on this issue is “in progress.”
Iran notified IAEA that they intended to start enriching uranium up to 60% tomorrow, a move that was called “provocative” by the United States who made similar statements as France. Iran was supposed to start another round of negotiations on their nuclear capabilities in Vienna, but the meeting got delayed due to coronavirus concerns.
