GA senator Perdue to isolate after COVID contact
Republican Senator David Perdue of Georgia, and his wife, will self-isolate after they came in contact with a person infected with the coronavirus, his campaign unveiled on Thursday.
“Both Senator Perdue and his wife tested negative today, but following his doctor’s recommendations and in accordance with CDC guidelines, they will quarantine,” the statement read.
Perdue is currently campaigning for a runoff against Jon Ossoff from the Democratic Party. United States President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend Perdue’s campaigning event on Monday, but it remains to be seen if the GOP senator will be able to attend.
