Germany adds US, Turkey, Israel to list of high-risk areas
Germany has placed six countries, including the United States, Israel, and Turkey, on the list of the so-called high-risk areas in terms of the COVID-19 prevalence, a statement by the Robert Koch Institute revealed on Friday.
The designation means that the unvaccinated travelers from the listed countries will be obliged to undergo a mandatory ten-day quarantine upon arrival. The self-isolation period can be shortened by five days if the traveler provides a negative PCR test.
Berlin’s list of high-risk areas currently includes 78 countries.
