Germany recommends AstraZeneca shot only for over 60-year-olds
Germany’s Standing Committee on Vaccination (STIKO) has recommended the AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine only for men and women aged 60 and above, Focus Online reported on Tuesday.
“On the basis of the currently available, but still limited, evidence and taking into account the current pandemic situation, the STIKO recommends using the COVID-19 vaccine for people over the age of 60,” according to the committee.
Earlier, two state hospital groups in Berlin halted inoculation of women under 55 with the AstraZeneca/Oxford University COVID-19 jab.
