Germany to extend COVID lockdown until April – report
The German government is likely to decide to extend the lockdown, implemented in order to curb the spread of COVID-19, until the end of March, the Business Insider reported on Monday.
The outlet added that certain coronavirus containment measures could be relaxed during the period, which would fall in line with previous reports that said that country’s Chancellor Angela Merkel wants the easement of measures to be gradual and done in stages.
The current regulations regarding the pandemic are set to expire on March 7, with the government set to rule on a further course of action on Wednesday.
