The number of deaths attributed to the coronavirus grew by a record 15,732 during the past 24 hours, data compiled from health authorities worldwide revealed on Wednesday.
The number of fatalities registered since the pandemic started reached 1,970,199, while the global case tally surpassed 92 million earlier in the day.
Almost 20% of all fatal outcomes were registered in the United States, while Brazil reported over 200,000 COVID deaths as a country with the second-largest death toll in the world.
