Google search to show TV options for NBA, MLB
Google LLC is set to roll out a new feature for its search engine on Thursday, one that would enable users to find all TV or Internet broadcasting for sports events they are searching for.
If the users type “how to watch [sports team name] games,” they will be provided with a list of local TV and streaming options. For now, the feature only works for the National Basketball Association (NBA) and the Major League Baseball (MLB) games, but Google has reportedly said that it plans to expand it to other North American professional sports leagues.
In addition, the search engine will now be able to provide improved recommendations for TV shows and movies, while also showing what content is currently available for viewing.
