Harris, Netanyahu talk security in Middle East
United States Vice President Kamala Harris told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a phone conversation that Washington is committed to advancing peace and security in the Middle East, according to a statement released by the White House.
The two talked about the threats of the Iranian nuclear program as well as Tehran’s “dangerous” regional behavior. Harris commended Israel for reaching normalization agreements with countries in the region, going on to note the close ties between the two nations.
The vice president also underscored the need for strengthening and advancing global health security and joining efforts to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.
