House to vote on Trump impeachment Wednesday – Hoyer
United States House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer told reporters the lower congressional chamber will vote on President Donald Trump’s impeachment on Wednesday.
The effort to remove the president from office a week before his term is set to run out comes after a group of his supporters stormed the Capitol building last week while Congress was in session.
The single impeachment article introduced on Monday accuses the head of state of inciting the incident in order to stop lawmakers from affirming President-elect Joe Biden’s election victory.
