Hurricane Zeta makes landfall in Louisiana
Hurricane Zeta made landfall in Louisiana as it hit the Gulf coast of the United States, the National Hurricane Center said on Wednesday. The hurricane sustained winds of around 110 mph.
According to the latest data, an Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunter aircraft showed landfall occurred close to Cocodrie, where landfall was last witnessed in 2008 during Hurricane Gustav.
Earlier, the NHC warned Mississippi would likely also be influenced by the storm.
