India reports 75,809 new virus cases, 1,133 deaths
Data from India’s Health and Family Welfare Ministry showed 75,809 people tested positive for the coronavirus disease in the country on Monday, after the record-high number of daily infections seen the day before.
The nation’s total rises to 4,280,422 with the newly recorded infections included, while its COVID-19 death toll increased to a total of 72,775 after the health officials confirmed 1,133 additional virus-related fatalities.
The cumulative number of recoveries reached 3,323,950, up by 73,521 in the twenty-four hours since the last update was released.
