Inter-Korean cooperation sooner than expected – Unification Minister
The cooperation between Seoul and Pyongyang might start sooner than expected, and South Korean companies should prepare for such a development, the country’s Unification Minister Lee In-young (pictured) said on Monday.
“We need to create strategic room to encourage the North to come forward for inter-Korean cooperation,” the minister stated. He went on to add the government was planning to “create an environment” for economic collaborations and to work with Pyongyang on both big and small projects.
Earlier this month, Lee called for stronger cooperation between Seoul and Pyongyang on the matter of coronavirus and any treatments of the disease once one is developed.
