Iran virus death toll climbs by 121 in single day
The number of people who died as a result of the coronavirus in Iran rose by 121 in the past 24 hours to reach 3,993, Health Ministry spokesman Kianush Jahanpur said on Wednesday. The figure marks a lower daily increase in casualties than in previous days this week.
Meanwhile, the new total number of infections has increased to 62,589 as 1,997 new cases were reported.
Iran also reported it has conducted 220,975 tests since the start of the COVID-19 outbreak.
