Iranian Navy vessel sinks another by accident -report
Over 20 sailors in Iran’s Navy were killed after a vessel from the nation’s fleet shot another one of its ships by accident, according to unofficial reports.
During military drills, taking place in the Oman Sea, a C-802 Noor missile from Jamaran mistakenly sank Konarak, a general-purpose vessel, taking the ship’s commander down in the strike.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) deemed the incident “human error,” Anadolu news agency reported citing sources from the agency, despite no official statement being issued by the military.
