Israel adds UK to ‘red list’ for travel
Israel’s Health Ministry unveiled on Sunday that it has added the United Kingdom, Denmark, and Belgium to the “red list” for travel in order to curb the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant.
This means that Israelis cannot travel to the aforementioned countries, citizens of those countries cannot enter Israel, and those that return from the “red list” countries will need to quarantine for seven days even if they received three doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
Meanwhile, the country’s Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz noted that more countries will be added to the list, adding that the government must act now and do everything it can to stop the spread of the variant.
