Johnson: UK to prepare for Australia-style trade with EU
United Kingdom Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated on Friday that London tried to get ready for exiting the European Union “Canadian style,” but that it didn’t work out.
“Our friends from the bloc don’t want to offer us a Canadian option so we should go for the Australian solution. We have to make preparation that all sectors, including car and farmer’s industry, to get ready to prosper from Australia-style deal,” Johnson said.
Canada-style deal with the EU would include a free trade agreement where the two sides wouldn’t charge taxes on imports or restrict the amount of business that can be done.
