Joint efforts needed to seal investment treaty with EU – China
The European Union and China need to put “joint efforts” to reach a deal on the Comprehensive Agreement on Investment (CAI), Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin (pictured) claimed on Friday.
Speaking at a presser in Beijing, Wang urged the EU to meet China halfway to achieve “a comprehensive, balanced and high-level investment agreement.”
The world’s most populous country intends to conduct a “high-level opening-up” while maintaining its own security and economic interests, the spokesman underscored.
