Kishida reveals names of his cabinet members
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida unveiled on Monday the list of names of his new cabinet members.
The 21 members of the government include Toshimitsu Motegi, who will remain Foreign Affairs Minister; Shunichi Suzuki as Finance Minister; former Prime Minister Shizo Abe’s brother Nobuo Kishi as Defense Minister; Koichi Hagiuda as Economy, Trade and Industry Minister; Yasushi Kaneko as Internal Affairs and Communications Minister; and Shigeyuki Goto as Health Minister.
Earlier in the day, Japan’s National Diet officially approved Kishida as the country’s new prime minister.
