Kremlin calls for restraint on Korean Peninsula
Moscow urged on Wednesday for the resumption of dialogue regarding the Korean Peninsula, with Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova (pictured) asserting that “there is no sensible alternative to the political and diplomatic settlement of regional problems.”
“In this context, we are calling on all partners to demonstrate restraint and practically reaffirm their readiness to resume dialogue in line with the agreements achieved earlier and assumed obligations,” the official said.
Earlier, the United Nations expressed concern regarding North Korea’s missile launches.
