Kremlin: Western countries behaving like bandits
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov insisted on Saturday that Western countries are “behaving like bandits,” explaining efforts to isolate Russia won’t succeed since the world “is much larger” than the United States and Europe.
In a daily press briefing, Peskov told reporters that Moscow would respond to the West’s “economic banditry,” however without revealing concrete measures the government plans to take.
Much of the Western world has imposed harsh economic sanctions on Russia since its invasion on Ukraine, removing some of its banks from the SWIFT international payment system as well as freezing foreign assets of government-backed entities.
