Le Maire: Govt to invest more funds into industry
French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire stated on Monday the government is planning to enhance the recovery of its industry sector by allocating to it a few more billions euros from its fiscal package, aimed to combat the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Le Maire said the Hotel de Matignon would not increase the overall value of the stimulus, estimated at €100 billion, but redirect some of the funds to the industry field.
The minister recently dismissed the possibility of imposing another nationwide lockdown that would try to curb the spread of COVID-19, saying it would cost France €15 billion a month.
