Le Maire: New COVID restrictions not needed yet
French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire said on Wednesday that there is no need to impose new coronavirus restrictions in the country for now despite a rise in cases.
However, Le Maire called for “individual responsibility,” noting people should get vaccinated against the virus and wear face masks.
On Tuesday, France reported over 30,000 new COVID-19 infections, the highest daily number of cases since August.
