United States Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell confirmed on Friday he had received the “safe, effective” vaccine against COVID-19.

“Now back to continue fighting for a rescue package including a lot more money for distribution so more Americans can receive it as fast as possible,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Vice President Mike Pence and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also received a dose of the vaccine.
