Mexico adds record 1,314 COVID deaths, 14,395 cases
The daily jump in new coronavirus deaths in Mexico was at its highest since the start of the pandemic, with 1,314 people dying of the virus in the past 24 hours, the nation’s Ministry of Health revealed.
The fatalities attributed to the illness increased to a total of 135,682 once the newly confirmed deaths are added, while the cumulative number of infections reached 1,556,028, with another 14,395 people testing positive over the course of the day.
On the other hand, the North American nation saw at least 7,981 recoveries from the disease, taking the cumulative number of people no longer suffering from the illness to 1,168,354.
