Mexico’s daily COVID-19 deaths jump to 730
The number of coronavirus-caused fatalities surged by 730 in the past 24 hours to reach a total of 18,310 in Mexico, the country’s Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez announced on Tuesday. The daily growth accelerated significantly compared to yesterday’s increase of 439 to reach its highest level since June 5.
Meanwhile, the country registered 154,863 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic started as 4,599 more infections were identified compared to yesterday’s figure.
According to López-Gatell Ramírez, there were 21,159 active cases of the infection across Mexico.
