Mnuchin, Kudlow have no plan to resign – reports
United States Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow intend to remain with the Trump administration until US President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, US networks reported on Friday.
According to Fox News, Mnuchin plans to keep the “important work” in focus until the end of his term. Meanwhile, Kudlow is set to stay in the White House until Biden’s inauguration as well, though he intends to take a vacation later this month, CNBC reported citing people close to him.
Previously, several Trump administration members stepped down in the aftermath of violent protests at Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, including Trump’s former chief of staff and current special envoy to Northern Ireland Mick Mulvaney, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos.
