Mnuchin: Next stimulus package ‘focused on jobs’
United States Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said on Tuesday that the upcoming congressional economic stimulus package bill will be “focused on jobs.”
“We’re going to take our time and make sure that we’re thoughtful,” Mnuchin told reporters after meeting Senate Republicans on Capitol Hill. He also pointed out that the administration expects that the legislation would be “much more targeted” and focused on regaining pre-pandemic employment levels.
Mnuchin revealed that the new relief bill should be expected next month.
