Moscow eases COVID restrictions as cases decline
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced on Wednesday the city will ease coronavirus restrictions as a result of a slowdown in the spread of the disease.
“The pandemic is on the decline and under the circumstances our duty is to create conditions for the quickest possible recovery of the economy,” Sobyanin noted and added bars, restaurants and nightclubs will now be able to remain open overnight.
Russian health authorities said the number of daily confirmed COVID-19 infections in the country dropped to the lowest level since late October as it stood at 17,741.
