N. Korea discusses ‘key issues of war deterrent’
North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un and the Central Military Commission of the Workers’ Party held a meeting during which they discussed the “key issues of further bolstering a war deterrent” in the country.
Kim and other officials also reviewed the government’s strategy on the situation and “potential military threat and alert” in the Korean Peninsula.
Earlier this week, South Korea opened an investigation on Kim’s sister Kim Yo-jong and Army General Staff Chief Pak Jong-chon over their alleged involvement in the demolition of the Inter-Korean Liaison Office, but added it is still willing to continue peace talks with its northern neighbor.
