N. Korea fires missile into East Sea – S. Korea
South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) announced on Saturday that North Korea possibly launched a ballistic missile into the East Sea, reported Yonhap news agency.
Joint Chiefs of Staff shared that this is the ninth projectile launch since the beginning of 2022, and that it came four days ahead of the presidential elections in South Korea.
South Korean military officials are yet to reveal further details on the latest launch, while Cheong Wa Dae, also known as the Blue House, stated that the presidential National Security Council (NSC) will be having an emergency meeting later today. North Korea conducted another missile test just a week earlier.
