N. Korea to resume military drills near border with South – report
General Staff Department of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) confirmed Pyongyang plans to proceed with “all kinds of military exercises” near its border with South Korea, Yonhap news agency reported.
According to the North Korean KCNA state news agency, the military is reportedly set to reenter the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) in disarmed areas of Kaesong and Mount Kumgang.
Previously, the nation’s army released a statement declaring it is prepared to implement decisions made by its government, including entering the areas demilitarized under several inter-Korean agreements.
