Nasdaq turns to gains in premarket
The Nasdaq 100 turned to gains with just under an hour to go before the opening bell in New York City as data showed fewer than a million jobs were lost over the past seven days in the United States, despite expectations of around 1.1 million job losses. Meanwhile, Tesla continued to jump ahead of the market open, jumping 4.32% on the news on its stock-split.
Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 eased losses from earlier in the session as they were both flat at 8:38 am ET. The Nasdaq 100 was up 0.28% at 8:39 am ET.
The euro jumped 0.45% against the dollar to 1.18388 at 8:40 am ET.
