New measures to bring ‘biggest’ price reductions – Trump
United States President Donald Trump claimed on Saturday the executive orders aimed at lowering drug costs he signed will lead to “biggest price reductions in history.”
“Yesterday I signed four measures that will massively reduce the prices of prescription drugs, in many cases by more than 50%. Nothing like this has ever been done before because Big Pharma, with its vast power, would not let it happen,” the president tweeted, asserting that “nothing like this has ever for our citizens, especially our Seniors.”
Earlier, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that the executive orders will “hand billions of dollars to Big Pharma” instead of reducing the drug prices.
