Next Putin-Biden meeting not discussed yet – Kremlin
Moscow and Washington have not started talking about scheduling the next meeting between United States President Joe Biden and Russia’s Vladimir Putin, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
Asked about the location of the meeting, Peskov noted that it is not yet in the works, “not even close.” His comments come after the White House last week revealed that the format of the meeting is still being determined.
The two leaders had a virtual call earlier in December, where Putin expressed his wishes to meet in person for more talks, which US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said was unlikely if Moscow doesn’t de-escalate tensions with Ukraine.
