Next year’s inflation trend is difficult to predict – De Guindos
The rate at which inflation in the euro area will decline in 2022 is difficult to predict, European Central Bank’s (ECB) Vice President Luis de Guindos (pictured left) said on Friday.
Delivering remarks at an event organized by Axon Partners Group, de Guindos forecasted that the rate of decline may be somewhat slower than what the ECB initially anticipated.
De Guindos reiterated that factors behind the rise in prices are of a “transitory nature.”
