Nobel Medicine Prize won by David Julius, Ardem Patapoutian
The Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute announced on Monday David Julius and Ardem Patapoutian as the winners of the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine.
The duo was given the honor “for their discoveries of receptors for temperature and touch.”
Julius and Patapoutian previously jointly won the prestigious Kavli Prize for Neuroscience and BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Award, both in 2020.
