Number of COVID-19 cases in Germany hits 684 – RKI
The number of people infected with the coronavirus in Germany jumped to 684 on Saturday, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) announced.
The figure climbed by 54 from the previous report published on Friday evening. Most of the cases in Germany were reported in North Rhine-Westphalia, where 346 people have been infected, followed by Bavaria and Baden-Wuerttemberg with 117 and 116 cases, respectively.
The Robert Koch Institute noted the figure could be larger as it only lists cases reported to the agency. According to data collected from German federal state authorities, the number of infections in the country stands at 692.
