Oil ticks lower as US crude stockpiles climb
Crude prices decreased on Wednesday as private data reportedly showed another rise in oil stockpiles in the United States.
According to the American Petroleum Institute (API), US crude stocks gained 3.9 million barrels last week compared to the previous seven-day period, marking the second consecutive weekly growth.
Brent for deliveries in August slid 1.64% to go for $40.29 per barrel at 9:28 pm ET. Meanwhile, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) for July settlement slipped 2.01% at 9:16 pm ET, trading at $37.61 per barrel.
